We are dedicated to advancing sustainable, technology-driven infrastructure across the United States. Founded by Elma Akter, a professional engineer with strong expertise in Engineering Management, Civil Design, and Environmental Technology, our firm blends innovation, technical excellence, and environmental responsibility in every project.
We work with both public and private sector clients to design and manage projects that are safe, efficient, and environmentally conscious. Every design we deliver is guided by data, driven by technology, and built for the long-term resilience of communities.

Elma Akter, Founder & CEO, EcoStruct Engineering & Management
Elma Akter is the founder and CEO of EcoStruct Engineering & Management, a women-led civil and environmental engineering firm based in New York. She holds a Master’s in Engineering Management from Trine University, USA, and a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from Jiangsu University of Science and Technology, China.
With expertise in sustainable project management, environmental compliance, and smart infrastructure, Elma leads EcoStruct with a vision to build greener and more resilient communities. She is also an advocate for women’s empowerment in engineering, promoting inclusive leadership and sustainability in every project she undertakes.
What We Stand For
At EcoStruct, sustainability is more than a design choice it’s our foundation. We combine digital innovation, smart materials, and eco-design practices to deliver long-lasting solutions. Using tools like AutoCAD, BIM, and GIS mapping, our team ensures precision and performance at every stage of a project.
We also believe in inclusive growth and empowerment. Through leadership and capacity-building programs, we create opportunities for women and young professionals to excel in engineering, project management, and environmental consulting.
Our Future Goals
Between 2025 and 2028, EcoStruct aims to expand its presence nationwide by completing over 25 sustainable infrastructure projects, training 100+ professionals, and creating 15+ technical and management roles. We plan to collaborate with federal, municipal, and nonprofit partners to strengthen U.S. infrastructure through innovation, green technology, and workforce diversity.
